Hi, I have what I think is an unusual situation. I had a Direct Merchants credit card account through HSBC. Because of many financial troubles I didn't pay for more than 6 months. Last month I sent them a letter with a $100.00 payment indicating that I can start up payments again and catch up when I can. They cashed the check and then about 2-3 weeks later (March 8th) I receive a letter from "The Bureaus, Inc." collection agency indicating that this debt was purchased from MET1 by Bureaus Investment Group No 11 LLC.

An unsecured personal loan company like others but with a very high interest rate, or are they a pdl? I'm confused as to what they are.

Because of my PDL nightmare, I'm now going to be behind for the first time in my monthly payment to CashCall, and they are ringing my phone off the hook! How long does it take for CashCall to start collection practices and filing a lawsuit? Are they really a loan company, or a glorified pdl company? I didn't get a chance today to ask T&C if they handle CashCall issues. Any advice regarding this would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Good evening everyone! I just got my contract from T&C faxed to me today, and I will be signing it and faxing it back to them, along with my retainer fee, ASAP.

Does anyone know who this number belons to. They keep calling me at work, threatening me. All it says when they answer is "Processing". she called me up, and put words in my mouth. i am very scared. she told me she was an investigater for the government. She said I told her I deliberatly defaulted on them and used intentional fraud. I din't do that. Could this just be a collection agency,or could this be real.

Hi, I know it sounds like a very odd subject title, but my dad is not doing well and now he gets a letter telling him he owns money to a company, even though he is sure he doesnt. The letter doesn't especify a date or anything like that. I'm only 15 years old,since his English is very limited, I'm trying to do the best I can to help. The letter is from the First National Collection Bureau, Inc.

I had no idea that this company was so bad. I guess i'm living and learning. OK, 2 years ago my husband and I went to purchase a home. My husband had a foreclosure on his credit report which had to be paid, and guess who it was with, asset acceptance llc, well I spoke with someone named Chris mostly, and we came up with a decent deal, if my husband and I could pay withing 30 days $10,000.00 of what my husband owed they would wipe out the rest of the debt.

CHLD/CBSD shows up as a credit account on my credit report but I have no idea what that stands for. Can someone tell me what that is????
