i was just looking at my contract with bayside cash looking for the license and i found that they are out of belize city, belize and is their contract legal they use a lot of international law jargon and talk about arbritation in the contract its my fault for not reading it to begin with. i live in florida and i could not find their license number yet i am still looking but if they are not legal i need to know so i can take action. i will stop their ach and email them any help you can give i will be thankful for

I got an online payday loan from PayDayOne, which I believe is legal in Ohio. At the time I took the loan, they were permitted to do business in Ohio. I have paid around $380 in interest on a $500 loan. I want to pay back the loan but need a payment plan. Any advice on working with the debt collector to get this done properly?

I had a few PDL's from 2010 that were illegal and the original loans were overpaid (based on no interest). One of the loans was sold to various collection agencies and now is with a firm in buffalo NY that posted the balance 391.00 to my credit report. I tried to dispute the item, they responded to the credit bureau only that they had a letter validating the debt. So it has not been removed. I only received a couple of calls which I did not respond to but nothing in writing of any kind. Is there something else I can do to remove this item. Thank You :D

So what do you do when these jerks refuse to give you any information? I've asked for an address and they tell me they can't give me that information. I did report them to the AG & the FTC, but am still getting calls even after telling them verbally to stop calling.

Hi! I am about $50,000 in CC debt...single mom of 3...and am starting to really fall behind. I am confused if it is best to hire a debt consolidation program or write letters myself asking for a reduction in interest and perhaps the balance....or claim BK. Which do you think is the best route? I want to be able to purchase a home one day, and maybe buy a new/used car in the not so distant future. Thanks!!

Is there any case law to refer to in regards to Debt Validation notice or request that is suppose to be mailed by a collection agency when initiating a collection?

Hello. I am receiving phone calls from this group telling me I owe money and a debt to Payday Services. Looked online and found out that this is part of a scam. They have been calling my cell every month at least twice each month and tonight sent me an email threatening me that I would be legally prosecuted in the Court House. What are my options? I am contacting the FTC tomorrow but am unsure if should also contact Payday Services to see if they have any info. Should I contact these people again or ignore them? Enough is enough.

School says that 2 years ago, I was overpaid in student aid.I requested debt validation and they sent me a list of charges. One of the charges listed was for Direct unsub and sub. loan. Neither one of these charges are shown on the national student loan data systems for students nor on the loan service site (nelnet). I asked where the charges come from and I have yet to receive a solid answer. As a matter of fact, I have received 3 different answers. I pay any debts that I come to owe, but I refuse to pay anything that I do not owe.
