Hi All, Im so happy I found this website been stressing out forever on my debts. I have some credit card problems but I want to start with the pdl loans I have currently - they are killing me. Im doing some research on PDL loans - yes I got myself in a mess. Just wondering if any of you other Texans have examples of letters you sent to PDL loan companies. I read some of the law info online and I think that a couple that I have been paying for a few months should be marked paid in full, but I am also not sure if all of the companies are leagally able to loan out in Tx, etc.

Anyone who has posted in here claiming that they have been "defrauded" should contact the attorney general and file a complaint. They wont though.

I, too, was in the same predicament as so many of the rest of you were. I was running low on money and had payday loan after payday loan after payday loan. Before I knew it, it felt like my life was spiraling out of control. I finally started googling and found sites like this one with advice on how to get myself out of the situation. So many people had information about different laws that these types of companies were breaking, etc., so I took their advice and used the forms that they had posted to try to settle my debts with the companies. No one responded to me except Rio.

My biggest concern right now are the payday loan companies that are debiting my account. I believe I have four. The exorbitant fees are crippling me. I am perfectly willing to pay the principal I owe but with the interest they are charging it is impossible. So, I closed my account and opened another in the same bank. ( I have to have an account in THAT bank for direct deposit of my pay check)After I read everything on the internet, I am not even sure they are legal.
