Since I have gotten so much help from this board, I would like start sharing my experiences for those who might benefit from it. I hope this is ok. I've previously posted about how my bank one account (which was 700 the last time i paid, and 1158 when it was charged off) was sent to an agency called Unifund which was just sent as of last week to an agency based in Canada called First Resolutions Management. So I called them last week to try to settle this.

:?: I received a Validation of Debt letter today from Resurgent Capital Services, LP. It states that the previous creditor was HSBC Bank, and the current creditor lvnv funding llc. I have not heard of or had any accounts with any of these three institutions. The balance the state does not match any balances to the accounts I am trying to clear up. This past week I’ve sent out several DV letters, although not to Resurgent or LVNV.

Does anyone have the link where you can look up fees by state. seen it posted on one of these forums but cant find it now. I found Pa through it once, having no luck here. I want to look up delaware law, their state page dances around too much. Want to go directly to what fees they are allowed to charge. It was a large site that you could link to any state, anyone know it?

hi i'm new to this forum but after having what happened today to me i'm pretty shaken up and had to tell somebody my experience...

I've been hanging around on the sidelines here for a while, and I've got my first question. Does anyone here know who this number belongs to? I tried doing a google search, and even went to that "who called us" web site, but nothing came up. I got a call from someone named Chris that said he got my file a few weeks ago, and needs me to call him to "hear my side of the story, so they can decide how to proceed." He sounded very nice on the message, not mean and nasty like some others (Bass). I mean to call him back, but I wanted to see if anyone out here knew who that number belongs to first.

As I understand it, the credit reporting agencies have to remove negative information that is 7 years or older. When does the 7 year clock start? Is it 7 years from first reported? Or seven years from charge off? Also, if something is being reported that is well over the seven year mark, then what are my options? Thank you!!

I have $27,000 dollars from Chase Bank. An unsecured credit card. I can't pay it. I am three months behind. My minimum is 3000 dollars. And they will put me on a repayment plan for 5 years at 570 a month but that is still more than I can afford. I live in Texas. What can they do legally if I can't pay them. I own a house and only have my wages for income. I have heard that chase is very agressive.

Ok, so I sent a letter proposing a settlement. I sent it to NCO who is handling the account for Amex (I called Amex and they said all my correspondence would need to be with NCO). In my letter I said: Please respond in writing to my mailing address. I am formally requesting that all correspondence take place via US Mail. Since then the collection rep I have been dealing with has called my home and cell phone.
