payback is going to be a b**ch

I paid off allied interstate almost three years ago, and i am recieving phone calls from some other agency claiming i never paid. I have a copy of the cancelled check and faxed it over to them. this is a little bizarre.

I was reading on your site that one of your members found a law stating that the interest could not be more than a loan or something like that. My problem is I have a loan with One Click Cash and have been paying the processing fee for awhile, and last pay check they took out more than they should have, way more. I am going to call but is there any laws like the one in Ohio that states something like that for Maryland? And what should I do if they refuse to refund the money they took? they made me overdraft my account, so I owe even more than I should of had to pay.

I live in Arizona and have a payday loan (internet) with PayDayone. I told them just to take the fees out of my account and needless to say they tried to take the whole amount out and well you can guess it bounced. Now I have a chain reaction of bounced fees. Now they are stating if I do not pay the loan off in full they are going to report me to Teletrack. First of all I do not know anything about teletrack and second of all how can I avoid all of this by sending them a letter? Help please

Does anyone know how I can get back on track with these loans? I set up payment, but they were too high and couldn't keep up. Any suggestions?

Can anyone confirm that the NC Consumer Finance Act (Article 15) is what is followed regarding payday lending? I am trying to calculate how much I am overpaying my PDLs and need help determining what the apr is for NC and how to calculate the interest.

Has anyone had dealings with the Brennan law firm? I signed up with them late last year, and have made two payments of 178 to them, but they have not even contacted the lenders I put on my list. The lenders are driving me crazy, and I don't know what to do. I just want to make sure these guys are reputable and aren't taking my money for nothing. Thanks.

:roll: Okay, the toll-free numbers??Whata bunch of whooie.They call five times a day and will not say anything.1-800-955-6600 and then they go right ot 1-800- 297-8359.This goes right up to 9:00 at night.I have told them , they are only allowed to call once a day.And, this constitutes haraasment by phone.I have told them, that i am to recieve a settlement to settle my debts.I know they can still call for those collections but only once a day.I can get a record of the calls that have been made to my number for proof.Any comments???
