Well when the phone rang and called ID showed UNKNown...I knew it was them....I closed my bank accounts out Thursday...so Friday they could not dip in...Anyhow...I have 2 pdl's and this was the Lady from the Americash Storefront..."did you close your acct's out?". I proceded to explain to her that I had to choose between paying them and eviction...the funny thing is she told me she was in the same boat with PDL's....The PDL lADY IS IN TROUBLE JUST LIKE US....LMAO.

I just got started with consumer credit counseling of america and the people are really nice there... My only concern is that they do work with richard a. Brennan as an attny. But it says that his law offices are in florida... So am guess i am just concerned is this the same attny that everyone else is putting down so badly... Plase help so i can calm my nerves!!! Cleveland in the house :D Yes I'm in debt but am on the road to get things together. I have a payday loan through that snake of a company GFSIL but with God's grace that will work out. I plan on clearing my credit with my tax return money so I can begin the process of purchasing a house. Silly question: If you have a debt that is over 10 years old, are you obligated to pay it? Anyone have any advise for me in acquiring a home loan. I'm afraid of predatory lenders. Your help will be greatly appreciated! God Bless.

Does anyone know the laws when it comes to serving someone court papers? My wages are being garnished but I was never served the papers. They just came by regular mail and I never saw a court date. So before I ask the collection agency for all the relevant paperwork, (because I'm going to make sure that they followed fdcpa laws) I am just curious what the process is.

i got out of the navy last year and when i got out didnt find a great paying job until almost 8 months later but during that time i piled up a lot of debt.. in up getting my car repoed... so now i need a loan to consalidate all this debt.. plus i need a loan for business expenses..

Someone just called from this company for my hubby. No number came up on the ID, but the number they left was 888-871-6484. They claim they sent him a letter Dec 22nd however I keep all my mail in a shoebox (very professional! :lol: )and went through the box three times...we never received a letter. I asked her to resend something, she stated that they only send out one notice and are not required to send another letter. So, I asked for their mailing address so I could send in my own DV letter, she refused.

This happened to me too a couple of years ago. I was at work and received a phonecall on my direct line. A woman asked for me and then stated she was from CRS (???) to recover a debt from a payday loan company from 2003. I told her I have never had a payday loan and stated she must have the wrong number. She persisted and became very rude before I told her I was not the person she was looking for and not to call me again. I hung up and she called right back (I have caller ID on my office phone) and asked to speak with my supervisor.

I inquired about a dmp program and spoke with a counseler last week. I was referred to this company through the nfcc.org website. I checked them out on BBB and they only had 1 complaint logged and it was resolved. The counseler I speak with makes me feel really comfortable that all will go through and not to worry. It is a cccs/mmi company. I don't know why I am so nervous, I think because I am sending my contract back in tomorrow. I am anxious to get this started. I hope that DMP's really work. I just wnat to be out of this mess I am in. They set me up for a 3.5'ish year plan..

I would like to be able to put all the debt todether and make one monthly payment if possible.
