I am 37 live in Illinois decided to switch roles with my ex-husband and allow our boys to live with him because I am a sales rep who works various hours and travels and I thought it would be in the best interest of the boys to live with dad for purley daycare reasons only. With that being said I now am paying child support which i should, I also am paying a additional $400.00 a month on top of the support to their dad who is more than gainfully employeed and is a union electrician in Chicago. Once rent is paid, and support, there is little left over. I am in a credit mess.

Hello, I found this site by searching for contact info for Northway Credit, every time they debit my account a different ammount is taken from my account. And after reading through the messages I am going to go and cancel my checking account today and just deal with the creditors. I am too also in trouble with PDLs and after my rent and child support [another long story] is paid I have nothing left. except negative $$$. I am trying to go back to school however they are requesting $800.00 for tools that I need to attend this school.

I have been reading about people disputing negative marks on their credit reports and I am a little confused. I know there are negative marks on my report but the amounts just do not make sense. So here are my questions: When disputing an item do I first send a debt verification letter to the collection agency? Do I also send one the the Credit Bureau's at the same time?

I just got a call from a CA I made payment arrangements with. It was for 1 payment electronically and then they said I could mail in 4 additional payments on th e15th of each month until it was paid. Well they have been nice up until today. I got a call 1/3 from them and spoke to someone who was really nice. I got all the information I needed from them and was told just make sure the payment is to us by 17th. fast forward to today, just got another phone call from them and the guy was soooooo rude asking me to give him a check over the phone.

I pulled my credit report yesterday and I have some charge off accounts. I want desperatley to pay these debts off. Can I still enroll in a program if some of the accounts are charged off?
