Can a collection agency freeze a bank account (state of Florida) without prior notice? My girlfriend is concerned about some old credit card debts, even though they are past the statute of limitations.

I had really good credit and i applied for a credit card, and ended up getting a couple of them. Well then i lost my job and maxed them all out. They are all 2,000.00 limits and i am trying to get back on my feet but its just too much! i got a new job making ok money but not enought to pay it all off so soon! If i could get one payment a month that would be GREAT!

Just spoke with the "Supervisor" from Interim Cash 877-539-6703. He refuses to provide an address. Need to send the letter of illegal cash advance in Maryland. How can I get the letter to them?? They have a british accent but I think they are in Nevada. He also said they were not affiliated with any other company. Any suggestions?? Thanks! :?

I got a phone call today from a guy named frank miller and he said he wasn't calling from a collection agency he was calling from a legal office because he wanted to be a middle man to bahamas marketing group to stop them from taking me to jail. When i called bahamas they told me they don't deal with in house collections so they sent it to a company named i collect. This guy calls me and won't name the company stating i will arrested at my job or at home and be taken to court and legal action will be taken because supposedly i don't want to pay bahamas back.

Although I've cut down the amount of credit card debt I owe, I still can't get ahead. Short of giving up eating, I am throwing as much money as I can towards my debt. I live paycheck to paycheck and am tired of renting. I want to be able to own a home someday soon and get my life started!
