PNC - not alone

12 years 10 months ago
It is nice to see that I am not alone in getting the run-around with PNC. Our HELOC came due last December. We tried to renew the loan but with our current huge income loss they denied it and said it was due in full. I tried applying for a hardship program or modification - no response. I have now quit paying for 6 months. During that time we tried for a hardship program 3 more times - no response. Now it has been charged off. Just found that out today in fact. I don't even know what to do because we do not have $$ for a cash settlement.

Charge off vs In bankruptcy reporting

12 years 10 months ago
I recently was discharged from a Ch 13. My credit scores moved up over the 3 year period I was in the Ch 13 nicely, but the day that my discharge updated at the bureaus the scores fell some 70 points to where they were right after the initial filing. Bummer. My question is this, in the last few weeks I have submitted a few disputes to correct some items being misreported, 3 to be exact. The resolution brought my equifax scores back up to 635. however 1 of the three items a day later suddenly GMAC changed the way they reported a vehicle loan that was surrendered in the bankruptcy.

To consolidate or not?

12 years 10 months ago
Hello. I have Sallie Mae student loan payments totalling $380 a month and income of about $1100 a month (obviously teachers get paid WAY too much). I have no problem repaying debt but this amount is too much per month (especially considering cost of living in Hawaii as well as credit card debt I accrued while in school). Is consolidation the way to go or does it just add too much to the back end? Also, besides the 5-year teach laon forgiveness plan, isn't there some sort of reduction for "on-time" payments over a certain amount of time as well? Thanks in advance for any info. Max

I have just stared receiving calls from a payday advance company called EZ Corp does anyone know if they are licensed in Fl? Outside of that they are stating I wrote a check back in 2006 and will not provide me any proof that this is mine. They are threatening jail time if its not paid soon .

National Credit Adjusters?

12 years 10 months ago
My state is Michigan. I have heard that Plain Green Loans was an illegal payday loan. However, I received a letter in the mail today from National Credit Adjusters saying that they have purchased the account from Plain Green Loans. "The letter is to inform you that National Credit Adjusters, LLC (NCA) has purchased the above referenced account; we are not collecting for Plain Green LLC..NCA owns the account you created with Plain Green LLC. and has a financial investment in it." And they say that I owe 1304.17 (with interest).
