how do i get a collection company to post my paid off collection to the credit bureaus?? HELP

Mom has been sick for many years and she just recently died. Dad has been paying all Mom's co-pays on his credit card in his name as Mom never really had any credit cards and it has snowballed to appx 20K. Dad, who is retired, has been making the minimum payments on the cards but and this point I don't think he'll ever get them paid off. Any chance the creditors will offer a payout amount. If they review the transaction history they will see almost all charges are medical payment related?? Appreciate your input. Thanks, J

I originally had a payday loan from Global Payday and I have received a cal from a collections called Paramount. I was told that Cashnet has bought out Global Payday and that they have submitted my file for payroll garnishment. She also said that they told her on several attempts to talk to me that I have just refused to pay the loan. They have never tried to contact me and I have not spoken to anyone from here.
