Does anyone have copies i can use? I'm looking for one that says I've paid you too much already (ie 600 on a 300 loan) and I'm not paying anymore please mark my acct PIF AND one that suggests a payment plan for those companies that I still owe principal too. I placed a stop payment on a check written to a storefront PDL. They put the debt through electronically and it was paid. The bank (Washington Mutual)says that I can't get it reversed. When you put a stop payment on a check do you have to say paper and electronic ones? I am really confused and scared that all of my unpaid PDLs will try this.

I am being hauled in to court by Pressler & Pressler to have my wages garsished to pay a judgement on a debt that was paided off in 2001. they need a class action suit brought against them. The courts are their extention credit collectors.

Just had to let you all know that the lawsuit against my son who is on disability has been dismissed. He hit this jerls hubcap(who was on the wrong side of the road) and he was suing us for over $300,000.00! He still has a year to file again, but HIS attorney said he doubted he would because he had a workman's comp case going on in NC, and didn't want to mess that up! Also his attorney said that his client had a "medication problem", I said to him "YA THINK"?!!! Mom got her settlement from the pharmacy that alsomst killed her, she still isn't doing well, but better.

I found this firm online that promises to help resolve payday loan debt, often for 50% of the original principal. Has anyone here ever dealt with them? Should I, or should I try to resolve all this on my own? I have the same sob story as most here, so I know I'm in good company. Thanks in advance for any and all help.

Hello, I need some advice on how to payoff a debt with Household Credit. I just got a collection letter from Northstar Location Services . They claim to be authorized by Household Credit to collect on the Debt i owe Household Credit. My balance due is 1,839.06 but they are willing to settle for 1 payment of 1,103.44. Currently i have the money to payoff the debt. My question is should i payoff the ammount they are willing to settle on? Or should i pay the balance due ammount?

I had a legitimate dispute with a credit card company that was eventually settled for less than the total bill. Does this have a negative impact on my credit history? This is the only delinquent account I ever had.
