:D i am so thrilled!! Today, the $2500 refund that was promised from ics was in my account!! I can honestly say that it was not painful to do.....all i did was email my letter and after 2 weeks emailing with the manager, he settled with me!! So to all of you that are contemplating asking for a refund.......it doesn't hurt to try!! This is my second refund from pdl's since october!! Merry christmas to all!! Melissa :wink:

I have disputed some bad credit issues on my credit report that have been dropped. Now out of the woodwork comes a "Summons" from a collection agency attempting to take me to court over a debt that has been removed from my credit file, is this legal and what should I do?

I have just over $14K in delinquent credit card debt. I spoke with a collection agency yesterday called ARS if think on the west coast. They made me an offer for a lump sum settlement of $7K if I pay this month. I'm considering the offer as it would be good to get this debt off my back, but how can I be sure I'm getting their best offer and if I was to counter offer, what is a realistic figure I should offer them. I need to call them back today so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Well, I ended my relationship with my debt settlement company a couple of weeks ago. Last night I got a call from a CA regarding a Household MC that I had on the plan. HSBC cashed a payment that I sent them last week but it was just turned over to collections. Now, the guys was nice enough on the phone but had the "better than thou" attitude. They offered me a settlement which I didn't agree to at this time. Of course, I got the if I don't pay so much, they were going to turn me over to an attorney. Should I go ahead and send them a debt validation request?

has anyone heard of superior debt relief? they have contacted me saying they can lower my debt. I'd like to hear if anyone has heard of them and if it's good bad or otherwise.

Does anyone know anything about a company called allied interstate Collection agency. They have called my home several times, with a prerecorded message. I do not know of any bills my husband or I have with that agency.
