Here is a new twist or maybe not Sent United Cash Loans a VOD letter and got a response that said that since I sent them a cease & desist then are selling it to a third party collection agency or I can pay them xx amount to reduce the balance. I can call them or wait until the account has been sold. Don't understand this one

I obtained a loan from Route 66. After reading all the posts, I am a bit nervous. I did just call and spoke to some one regardarding taking the full amount out on Friday, and confirmed that there would be no other debits. For those that have had problems with this lender, did you pay it in full the first time, or allow them to debit your account in installments? Also, does anyone know about Maryland and the maximum amount allowed to be charged for a loan? I have paid over $1100 to date with $455 expected left on a $500 loan with WebPayday.

I just recieved a call back from the Oregon Banking department, they license payday lenders. The guy I've been talking to called cashnet500 yesterday and told me he talked to tim Atkins. He said tim atkins refused to tell him who the registered agent was for their company, and gave him some long excuse on why they didn't need a license in Oregon. The banking guy said he was very unsatisfied with the conversation, and he's turned it over to their investigation department! One thing Tim Atkins said during thier conversation was that they do use wage assignments.

My wife and I have entered into an agreement with a consumer credit company to help us pay back debts. The companys we owe have all recieved letters and have agreed to participate in this program. I would think these consumer help companys operate in pretty much the same ways. Allied claims they are working for one of the companys who, by the way has already agreed to participate in the consumer help program we are participating in.

Does anyone know NC laws regarding PDLS that are in default? I need some advice on this ASAP.
