dms is refunding me 209.00 in over paid fees!!

I am a single mom of 2 kids ages 10 and 5. I have been single for 5 years. I work 80 hours a week and gross $720. I have monthly bills of daycare, car payment, insurance, food, clothing, and emergency. I have many bills to pay. I am not sure right now how much is owed, last time I did add it all up it was close to $8,000.00. I want to get all of these bills paid with in one year if possible and start on a clean slate. I am tired of having high interest rates, being turned down on a purchase, or low credit score. What can I do?

Has anyone dealt with Lexington Law? They specialize in credit repair. I'm skeptical of most credit repair agencies. The only difference I see with this one is that they are a law firm, have results and testimonials posted on their site and offer what looks like a fair guarantee. I'm really looking at their do it yourself credit repair kit and I was wondering if they are reputable.

My wife wrote a check that bounced in November 2004. I guess the check was turned over to YCCS, a collection agency. YCCS then turned it over to Alaska Cascade Services, who have sent me 2 letters to pay up or else... I sent them a debt validation letter and all I got back was copies of the assignment from YCCS to Alaska at a rate of 33.33%. Additionally, Alaska Financial has attached an $80.00 "reasonable handling" fee to the balance and threatning additional late fees. Well as far as I am concerned I don't see that they have validated the debt. What should my next step be?

I received a call from NCB and spoke to a Miss Thomas. After nearly 20 minutes discussing a valid debt, I offered to make monthly restitutions in the amount of $100.00. I was initially offered a settlement of 50% of the total debt, which I'm in no position to do. I was told after my offer of $100.00 dollars per month that in order for them to accept that, I would have to make a down payment of 30% of the total debt. When I refused that, I wasn't given a counter offer by the collector.
