Every day I been getting a call from this number and when I answer there is no response but I could hear that someone is on the phone. That is so inconsiderate, especially the calls I've been getting is during work hours. Who are these people?

I had a credit card debt that I was paying on even thou it or a part of was in dispute. All of a sudden I rec a letter from acollection agency saying they were collecting this debt for a third party. In checking this out I find that the original debtor had charged off this debt. Apparently they sold it to a bad debt buyer. Can they legally collect the full amount of this debt even thou I didn't have any dealings with or never heard of the co. that the debt collector said he was working for? I sent a reg.

1TJF corp - I rec. a loan from them they keep taking money out of my account every 2 weeks - Have paid them well over what the loan was - now I am being harrassed at work from people I can not understand. when i try to get ask questions they just say be ready they are coming to pick me up and then hang up the phone. don't know what to do they call every hour I am going to lose my job. Please help.,

I'd like to start a thread on the PDL Companies who members have actually been able to get a refund from. The only one I have been able to so far is Starlight financial.

I was just recently contacted by a collection agency claiming to be an attorney's office. After doing some research, I did find that I did have this debt which was only $250 back in March but this company wanted me to pay $670, they say accumulated with interest. I tried to explain that I am a full time student and can't pay until January but the man I spoke to wouldn't hear of it and got angry and rude using words like "hell", spoke a lot a legal jargon that I did not understand, and threatened to garnish my wages.

I have a question and wonder if anyone else has run across this---when I put my 4 storefront PDLs with my debt consolidation company, they recommended that I put stop payments on the checks that I had written to the PDLs, which I did. I bank with WaMu and they asked what was the reason for the stop payment and I told them. They went ahead, placed the stop payments, charged the fee, etc. Later, one of the bank employees said that wasn't a valid reason for a stop payment.
