I am trying to find a solution to mine and my husbands debt. We have 2 kids and only one source of income. how can you make all the debt go away if there isnt enough money to go around? we are trying to figure out a way to get a house but our credit is horible. what should we do?

united recovery systems - are they okay to work with - to give my check account number to for settlement arrangements?

united recovery systems - I did a settlement check over the phone because they said they'd only settle if paid by the 15th. Now it's the 27th and my settlement check still hasn't cleared my account! Don't they have to deposit it on the day it's agreed to settle on? I made sure there was money in the account on the 15th but now I'm afraid it's going to bounce! What do I do?

Is there usually a monthly fee for being in a dmp? Here is my situation. I joined a DMP with debt solutions, INC. Apparently, Debt Solutions put together a financial plan for my program ($282), and then it was transferred over to Debt-Free America who is now monitoring my program and the one distributing my payments. As I pay monthly to debt free America (nonprofit) to pay my creditors, I'm also paying a $15 fee to Debt Solutions for the life of my program. Is this how a DMP works??

I start recieving phone call from that company, claiming that I have a debt with them since 2006. The company they said i own money is Citibank. Firstable I pay that debt in 1995 when my son was born, and it was for $300.00.Then I request to them to send me the original account balance, they just send me a copy of my personal information which half of it is wrong, just my address and SS# is right. Tha aomunt is $1,124.75. Amount that was prevoius of $300.00 that I paid in 1995. Now I have been living in P.R. for almost 10 years and now out of the blue that account came up again.

Hi, I'm a college student and I got caught with 2 credit card offers, which I soon maxed out, then I resorted to payday loans, of which I paid off, but a vicious cycle was started, now I"m getting letters and phone calls from multiple collection agencies and I'm trying to resolve the issues and get out of debt.

First of all, I'm intrigued by the fact there are so many posts about PayDay loans. It's somewhat comforting, yet alarming, that we are not alone. My husband and I are paying nearly $800 per month ($400 per bi-weekly payperiod) in loans. We are paying them, but barely. My husband and I are going to sit down tonight and figure out how many loans we have, how much, etc. So I'm looking for advice. We live in Nebraska, but the loans are all internet based. Can we somehow arrange a different payment plan or reduce the interest?
