I read on several posts on other site that Citi refuses to work with debt management programs. Is this true? I'm really concerned now because I just enrolled in debt managment program which one of my accounts is citi.

Almost 2 weeks since I walk in and told the storefront that what they were doing was illegal and that I was filing complaints with the AG and Dept of Corps In CAL.. Unless they returned all of my blank checks.. I then followed up with a letter RRR. And still no checks and no collections.. I did file all the complaints and still so stressed out. I am waiting for the ball to drop.. And I am sure it will.. I cant believe that they would just give up.. I just have to remember to reinstate the stop payents every 6 months.. Has anyone dealt with the California State agencies ??

I don't know if anyone has heard of this company so I'm posting it here as a heads up. My in laws received a letter from this company the other day stating that they owe a debt to a bank for over $6000. My in laws called the guy listed on the letter for more information and to let him know that this debt is from 1974 and was discharged in bankruptcy court. The man was rude. He told them "I'll settle with you for $1000." My in laws told him no way. They have the bankruptcy paperwork from way back then and they're going to make copies and send it to this company.
