I just got a very nasty call from a colletion agency called Nationwide Recovery. I am currently going through breast cancer and will have surgery next week. I explained this to them the first time they called but allowed them to pressure me into making a check over the phone for $15 even though I told them I did not have it. The check was returned NSF. I called today to make arrangements and let them know that I would make the payment on November 15th when I got paid.

Have a bad debt on credit card (due to divorce, job loss & illness)..Interest late fees etc,debt is currently 10K. After dodging the debt for last 3 years a civil suit has been filed against me. I have managed just last Dec. to purchase a small house with money borrowed from my parents. How do I contact credit card company to make some type of payment arrangement that I can live with for a less amount owedand keep them from putting a lien put on my house or having my wages garnished..I can be fired for a garnishment.

I recieved a $200 deposit into my account from Northway Credit and I NEVER EVEN FILLED OUT AN ON-LINE APP. How can someone deposit money into your account without your approval?? I've never heard of Northway until this and when I did a Google search I found this forum, I'm kinda scared now after what I've read from everyone here.

does anyone know this number 732-231-6372? They called me at work Yesturday stating that I would be arrested if I didn't send them $650.00 the same day. When i said that I can't do that they said well your file will be down loaded today and that it will be sent out state wide. When I said I wouldn't be able to pay until the 17th they then dropped the payment to $550.00. Then He told me that he would try and present my case again to the original company to see if they would allow me to pay on the 17th and for me to call him back.

I have just been called and harassed by one of your associates. That person called my place of employment over a dozen times in a row. One of my supervisors stood beside me as this happened. She even answered the phone on one of the occasions. I have been written up at work for these calls. I am at the switchboard and can not deal with this over the phone when your company calls here. I AM AT A BUSINESS. PEOPLE ARE IN THE LOBBY. THIS IS INAPPROPRIATE AND ILLEGAL BEHAVIOR. I have asked that you send me info on my payments and what I currently owe. I am not trying to run from you.

Hello, i read alot of posts here re: short term loans. I been in that situation many times, belive me. I currently have loan with M1Y and the original loan amt was 300....interest was 90 at the time which was taken out first time around. Then, they keep charging the same interest until you "pay down" the principle. I hve only paid down twice, and they reduce the interest by 30 dollars every time you pay down. I have yet to pay down the rest of the principle and now the 30 dollar interest is taken out every pay period. I shudder to think how much i paid into that company.
