We are currently working with a debt settlement company to pay off our credit cards and have been advised by our account manager not to answer the calls from the collection agencies. i seriously think ther should be some law regarding jdb or any1 other then teh oc or collector working for oc should be allowed by law to try to collect or sue on debt..in my opinion its comparable to extortion.. yeah i wholy agree on paying oc what is owed to them.

My husband has been being contacted by a Mr. Fulton from Nationwide Cash at his office over the last two months or so. The very first call he recieved Mr. Fulton told him he was about to be charged with check fraud and unless he gave him our credit card information he was going to take legal action. How do you get a handle on payday loans?

My checking account is in the negative for a little over $1000. The account was closed by the bank (wells fargo) and sent to collections. I have all intentions to pay the debt i owe. I just don't have it right now. The collections agency has threatened that this debt is considered check fraud. There are no hot checks on this account the majority of the debt is overdraft fees and purchases from a debit card. My question is this: Am I really in danger of being charged with check fraud or is the collections agency using scare tactics?
