I currently have a $2600 loan out with cash call and I have not made a payment in two months. I have been receiving about 5 calls a day and today they just called my mom and sister. I want to have the calls stopped and I would like to repay the loan back but not at the current interest rate. What do I do? Thank you in advance for any help and advice. It is much appreciated.

I have been paying federal restitution for 10 years now. My balance owed is going up & up, because of the interest rates the feds are charging. Does anyone know how long they can keep making me pay the restitution?

Seems there is a lot of new people on here so I am still looking for some info hope you can help. Has anyone took payday loans and when the amount withdrawn from your bank statement says Direct Cash Express or DCEXpress also USA CashCenter Payday. I have tried to trace these and it comes up Brenner bank. I think these people are in cohoots with payday people because they tell you nothing. Any help would be appreciated. I am remembering that USA benefits debited my account also so maybe they are tied in with this USA Cash Center? Thanks KYSIDE38

My daughter owns a car and her bf took it without her permission. Come to find out, she had no insurance on it and he totaled it. She kept paying on the loan as long as she could but now can no longer pay. Her bf is in rehab and she is a single mother of 3 kids working only part time. The loan company has gotten a judgement against her for the balance of the car. If she files bankruptcy, will the debt be resolved?

I received a letter from Palisades in regards to an account opened using my address and SS#, but under a business name (of which I have no knowledge) This is the first time I've heard of this account or Palisades. According to this letter, 'We have received your correspondence requesting verification of your debt...we have ordered additional documentation and will provide you with a copy upon receipt." Interesting, as I never requested or corresponded with these people - I've put a fraud alert on all 3 credit reporting agencies, and nothing appears on my report as yet.

what are the laws regarding the reporting of credit information to a CR. I had a card that was charged off in mid 2001 and I see the chargeoff on my CR, I also see another company that has aquired the charge off and is now reporting it as well.

I had a card a while ago with FIRST PREMIER BANK that was charged off on in Aug 2001 and shows a last reported date of 12/2003 on my credit report. I was chacking my CR and I noticed the following entry from ARROW FINANCIAL SERVICE: Date Opened: 10/2003 Date of Status: 04/2004 Reported Since: 03/2004 Last Reported Date: 08/2006 my question is, if a company sells off your account to another company and they start reporting to the CRs does the first company have to remove their entry?

People And Law I have been talking to lawmakers in every state and do you know what they say? We cant get anyone to talk to us who is in the payday loan trap or who has been through it!Will you e-mail me or write me at Personal info removed for your safety - Mod about your experience with your payday loan debt. Legislation says if they hear more complaints from the people they would change the laws and put a cap on the high interest. Now that would be nice.
