i got a call last night from bass &associates at 8pm last night.her name is kelly young and the # was 877-281-2224 ext 318 she said i owed 565.00 and and had 2 hrs to pay it or the file would be downloaded and i would be arrested as soon as possible.

I too have been harassed by Simm Associates the same way by Ginger Wheeler :evil: . She called my work repeatedly even AFTER I told her not to call my number again. Told her I wanted validation and she got ticked :x and refused and said, "Oh are you refusing to pay the bill." I said, "I'm not doing anything until I have validation in my hands." She said, "Oh, so you are refusing to pay this bill, perfect, that's all I needed." Needless to say she hung up on me, because I read her the validation points needed and boy did she get mad :evil: . I have sent a letter of validation to them.

Just got a call from Global Inc. Said they are the pre-litigation dept. and parent company of Cashnet500. Does anyone know anything about them? Would be interested to hear your thoughts.

800-897-5276 is Washington Mutual which I believe is Providian Credit card also. Collections department.

I got an email from BBrown(at)comdes.com asking me to call them regarding a "urgent business matter" at 1-888-241-8960. I tried to google the number and nothing came up. I also tried to go to comdes.com and nothing came up either. Does anyone know what this is? I tried calling to see if it gave me any info and I was put in an on hold loop. Thanks!

My husband and I just got married and we are looking to start a debt free life together. We are pretty young and know that we have time to get debt free. We both went to college that turned out to be not so good and they were very expensive, yet we got nothing out of it. We ended up quitting school because of getting pregnant and having to move to a location that didn't have our school there. We have lots of bills that are past due, creditors calling, collections calling and we just don't know what to do. He is our only source of income.

I took out a $200 loan (plus $60 in fees). To date I have paid $180 (all renewal fees). Yesterday I sent an email telling them I wanted my account settled as they are practicing illegally in Massachusetts. I am willing to pay the extra $20 to bring the total amount paid to $200 (the original loan amount). Here is the response I received from them this morning: Quote:
