Hi. I got into debt the first time a few years ago. I borrowed from a store front PDL and then another to pay back the first one. I kept increasing the amount when I would go to get another loan until I owed each $500 plus $75 in interest/fees. My son came to my rescue. He helped me figure out a budget to get both paid back. He made me promise never to take out another PDL. You'd think I'd have learned, especially at my age. I didn't. I'm a medical transcriptionist. I work at home for a transcription agency. We get paid by how many lines we type.

Can I be sued by a collection agency? I contacted my creditor and I was told to make my payments at one thier stores where I always do. the account was a little behind but I got it current. About a week ago I got a letter from a collection company telling me that my account was turned over to them. The account is not behind. I just made a paymeny on it the other day it is current. I called someone at my creditors and they told me the account has been closed but they are still sending me statment and I am still making payments at the store.

I recently recieved a letter from midland credit management claiming they were collecting an unpaid dept from myself to MCI back in 2002 in the amount of $231. I have no recollection of ever doing business with MCI and I doubt if I would have not paid it. However, I am willing to pay the debt if they can prove to me it is legitimate. They sent me a letter in July, which I must admit that I ignored.

I have received several letters from a collection agency trying to collect on a debt from 7 years ago. It is Uptons Department Stores which closed it's doors in 1999. Anyhow they do not show any negative activity on my credit reports as it is more than 7 years old. Anyhow opinion time if I acknowledge their letters by sending them a debt verification letter will it "open" the claim on my credit reports again? Obviosuly this claim has been sold to a die hard collection agency. Any input would be appreciated.

how can i get there? and what is your cost? How much can ~$9,500 can be negotiated and how fast can I pay off the debt?

where can I find letters about settlements?

I have 4 payday loans out from last April and One Click Cash is one of them. I will not go down this road again. Anyhow I closed my checking account before they sucked me dry and now I send them $10 a month to pay back the loans. It will take me forever but I will make good on my debt to them. Anyhow these 3 address's are correct as they cashed my money orders last month. The fourth one I just found out about this month so I hesitate to post the address until the "check" clears.
