I am one who believes in paying what I owe. I have alot of credit card debt some of which I have the interest rates low and some not. My problem is that I have so many payments that I have been robbing Peter to pay Paul and have been getting deeper in debt. I would appreciate your opinions on sending letters to those creditors where either the interest rates and/or payments are high and requesting them to reduce them so I can manage the payments without robbing Peter. I found a sample letter on this website with a format I could probably use to ask for this.
I have read may of the threads on here and they are very reassuring that at least I am not alone with this. I have four outstanding loans all with internet companies, how do i find the appropriate forms and referneces for pennsylvania? Thanks
Thanks to all of you on this site. It's helped me a lot. I am in debt of over 100K in credit cards. My financial situation has changed dramatically from last year and I'm in trouble. I have looked at these options:
1. Refinancing my house which will pull equity out and make the cc payments currant (paying off about 1/3 of the balance) but that will max out equity in my house and raise the payment over 1000... which will be very tough and if my situation does not get better I will be risking my home.
2. Credit Counceling Program. Sounds good but the payment was really high.
I have a signature loan for $1,320, a loan from Dell for the amount of $1,304, credit cards one of $3,000 and another of $900 both close to 30% interest, and a car loan pay off balance is at $20,104. I bought the computer because I was going to go to school online but i couldnt because i have to much debt so i couldnt get approved to go.

What should i do? I currently have PDL's with four different companies and recently lost my job. I have contacted three of the four by phone to try to work extensions out but ?I am afraid they will kill me with additional fees and interest. I am not sure what to do next. I currently live in PA . Thanks
