Can you still send a cease and desist letter to licensed Ohio pdl's? I have two pdl's (Check n GO and CashNet USA) that are coming up for payment but my checking account is in the process of being closed and if a payment gets through I will be overdrawn more than I am right now with the bank. I had sent letters to all my pdl's some were over paid and one was just seeking the finance fee payment. Regardless, two companies Route 66 and SGQ Processing ignored my letters and requests and put a ACH debit through. My bank accepted even the debit even though the account was to be closed.

Hello: I was doing an Internet search on "allied interstate" and I stumbled on this web site. My questions is this: My student loans are in default since 1999. I contacted the Florida Dept. Of Education to see if I could do something about it now. I did this via email to a person who I found on their web site who handles defaulted student loans. The person actually told me who the collection agency was - Allied Interstate. This person forwarded my email to this collection agency and now they keep calling and I refuse to deal with ANY collection agency.

i am not sure if this has violated any fdcpa laws or not.. thought i read that this indeed did somewhere before....on attorney letter headed collection letter. it does state about validating the debt and such not wich until recently i didnt even know what that meant..

How do they work exactly, and is the money taken out pre or post tax? If I do a debt consolidation, will that remove the garnishment?

when does this begin? From the date of the last delinquint payment made? Or the date that it first went to collections? I am confused as to what that starting date is?

I recently got a copy of my credit reoprt and found three items that I wasn't aware of. I sent dispute letters to all three companies and have not heard anything back. It has now been more than 6 weeks and I was under the impression that Credit Companies had 30 days to deal with a dispute or erase the charge. Is that true, and what do I do now? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
