How does the settlement payment plan work?

18 years 11 months ago
After reading stuff all over the web, looks like the settlement companies collect your money until the whole settlement amount is in the bank account and after that they'll pay? Did I understood this correctly? And all this time the late fees and over limit fees are accumulating?

Superior Debt or Debtwave?

18 years 11 months ago
Hello everyone, I was recommended to use Superior debt services for my debt. Unless I am at the wrong web site they appear to be a settlement place. My only concern with that is me piling money into them while they wait for a response from a creditor. Those same creditors are still going to be calling hassling me. How long can this take and will I still be paying my creditor while this is going on? That seems to defeat the purpose. Also, has anyone used debtwave? Are they the same way? Just looking for the best place to get started with relief and fewer phone calls.

Enhanced Recovery System: Has anyone dealt with this CA?

18 years 11 months ago
Has anyone dealt with these guys? They're always very rude, and have continually called me at work ove and over despite the fact that I have told them they are NOT to call me at work. We finally started telling them i wasn't there and they have stopped so far. The man i spoke with at ERC was always very rude to me and belittled me. Just curious if they're doing this to others also.

Confused on SOL

18 years 11 months ago
Hi there, I am new to this forem, and have read many, many posts and gone to the state and FTC websites mention here, and yet I am still really confused! My story...I got a credit card in Oregon in 1997 and ended up moving to Florida in 2000. My payment history was great until I lost my job and quit making pmts 9/2001. Then after being "hunted down" by an violent ex, I moved to Washington state in 2002 and have had a confidential address with the Attorney General. I am currently self employed barely making ends meet.

CCI Incorporated???

18 years 11 months ago
This is EdB by the way, I never got my login information so I signed up again. I got a phone call today from a CCI incorporated. They apearently have one of our debts. I could find nothing about this place on the web. He called himself a debt mediator or something like that and said he had my Social Security number on hold, or red. And that meant he could take money from my paycheck. He was willing to settle the debt for $300 less then the amount if we paid now. Anyone ever heard of this company? The number is 866-471-7100. To me this sounds completely fishy.
