Hi everyone. I was wondering if I could get the names of some first class companies that help with debt consolidation/settlement? I don't have a lot of cc debt...probably less than $10,000 but I have tried to work with the companies in the past and they just refuse to be worked with. I guess when I signed up I was referred to Consumer credit counseling of America. Are they the real deal?

I've been fighting to get my credit back after making some pretty hard mistakes about 5 years ago. I lost my job while doing my undergrad, and so did my mother and my father was retired already, and I racked up about $10,000 in combined credit card debt, which over the course of the past 3 years I have whittled down to one bank with $3,000 debt. I have a small inheritence coming my way soon and I hope to torpedo this last bit.

I am having some problems with PDL's. I got myself into a big problem with PDL's 5 of them to be exact. I want to pay them off but not through my checking account. I am putting a stop payment through my checking account because it is always in overdraft which is really causing a delima. My daughter has offered to help me out with paying off the accounts but I can not figure out how to contact them. They are ameriloans, arrowhead investments, timberhill investments, and GFSIL has anyone had any dealings with these places.

has anybody here heard of Magnum Cash advance? are they easy to work with regarding payment arrangements? thanks

Why are these companies willing to help people that are so far into debt?? Do they get a cut of the money or something??

Good morning all, Looks like Allied is now in line for potential legal actions also! Have recieved 2 phone calls from them, one yesterday and one about 20 minutes ago. A DV letter was sent to them on March 2. Also stated that phone calls were NOT acceptable and that they were to contact me in writing, via USPS only. Yes, letter was sent CM-RRR. I guess one last letter stating they are in violation of the fdcpa laws is in order. Even though it probably won't do any good! Calls sound as if the MIGHT be automated, but doesn't sound like it. Could be wrong.
