Automobile Repossession

ARIZONA The CU refused to make pmt arrangements when I was in between jobs. I informed them of my new address and they started sending demand notices to the new address. A few weeks before they repo'd the car they changed my address to the previous address, called and told me to walk in a pmt. (having worked at the same CU I knew they were going to lure me in to take the vehicle) They started sending notices to the previous address which the PO forwarded. One morning my car was gone and I never rec's a notice that they were going to repo unless I made a pmt.

Get out of debt helping each other.

Listen I'm not here to jerk anyone around. I have a wife and two kids and am in debt up to my ears and you know what no one is going to help.... No one except each other. Let's face it when we're in debt we feel like we're trapt, we hae to go to work and yet the bills keep pilling up and up.... My electric bill is close to a thousand, my car bills are close to repossesion, I can't afford anything and you know what? I'm scared.... But I found a few things that should help out everyone. One should help people get out of debt and the other should help them stay out of debt for a very long time.

and haven't heard from Sonic yet. How long until the fun begins? Should I just go ahead with the C & D prior to a phone call?

I hope I handled this right

Recently I recieved my credit report, and there was a certain acct. that is reported twice. Original company = Cingular Wireless CA = Asset Management. Both were reported by Asset Management. One in the amount of $1500, the other $1800. I only ever had one acct. w/ Cingular. So yesterday I wrote up a debt validation letter and mailed it CMRR to Asset Management. Today I received a letter in the mail from a NEW collection agency, Oxford Management.

Disputing debt with Bank of America & NCO Financial

Has anyone had any luck disputing a debt with Bank of America or NCO Financial? Also, how long does it take to hear on whether the debt will be dismissed or if I will have to continue to pay it? I had a bank account that I closed in January of last year. Well because I had 2 pdl's that kept trying to take money out of my account even though I had been making payments to them with payment agreements, BofA didn't close my account until April. So now I have $900 that I owe them only in overdraft fees. BofA didn't pay anyone a dime out of my account.

Does Ace Cash Express take pdl debt to court?

I had lost my job two days after I got a pay day loan from Ace Cash Express. This was in June but I have had no luck in finding a job yet. I am behind in all my bills and a single mom with rent and of course other living exspenses. I tried to make a payment plan, but I am having a hard time making all of the payments as I don't get much in unemployment. I payed them $85 last week just trying to do something but they calle me today and yelled at me and said if I didn't make full payment by the end of today they would take me to court and have me sent to jail.

United Legal calling me for a past debt

I got a call at work this morning and the caller ID displayed United Legal. The caller asked to speak to me, and since I did not recognize the company name that came up, I put her through to my voice mail. The caller left a very aggressive loud message giving her name, but not the company, and said to call her IMMEDIATELY on 866-679-4046. I blocked my number and called back, and the girl who answered the phone did not even identify the company I was calling. I looked up United Legal on old threads here and it sounds like they are basta#*s to deal with, so I am afraid to call back.

I am getting emails and call from the PDL companies

Hello: First, I have read numerous postings on this site and this is great information. I was about to lose my home in 2005 and discovered PDL's (BIG MISTAKE). One PDL, led to about 6 and next thing I knew my paychecks wore gone and I couldnt pay bills, so I closed my checking account. A year later, I am getting emails and call from the PDL companies and they are willing to work with me at reduced balances, which helsp but I can't afford them at this time. However, they say that if I dont pay its a "criminal offense" and considered fraud.

Wage garnishment/bad check

Kosters and Cash Call left me a message yesterday. They said they are not going to work with T&C and if I don't contact them or pay my loan they will garnish my wage up to 25% of my net pay. Loan Mart also called and they said they going tos ue me for bad check. The check is for $1000 incl interest. I called T&C and left them a message. I am hoping that they can give me an advise cause I'm really freaking out.
