Payday Loan website

Check out this site: www(dot)paydayloanlowdown(dot)com I'm sure some of you have seen it before but I hadn't and found it very interesting. It sums up a lot of legislation and state action against payday loan companies.

Anticipating problems this Friday.....

19 years 1 month ago
Has anyone dealt with company name removed as per request - Jason? I have out a $750 loan with them and for the past 4 paychecks, they have taken out $187.50. The thread they provided me for my loan documents was bad, so when I asked them to please supply that for me, they questioned me and asked me what was wrong. They finally provided me with it, and now I see on a page stating that they can get into my credit report, discuss things with my employer, and that I have "electronically agreed" to wage garnishment.

Bennett and Deloney

For all of you who think Bennett and Deloney are only a collection agency, think again. I work for them and have met both lawyers, Mr. Bennett and Mr. Deloney, who own the firm. The firm is registered with the Utah State Bar, and is legitimate. Any person who is being contacted by Bennett and Deloney is facing a potential lawsuit.

To pay or not to pay

19 years 1 month ago
My girlfriend has Midland Credit listed on her report for a legitamate debt from about 8/03. The debt is $107 from SWB. Midland has the debt listed as an account that was opened in 1/06 making it look current. I have been told if she pays the debt, it looks like a "new" bad debt on her credit. Should she pay the debt and take the ding on her credit or should she not pay it because it will make a 3 year old debt look like a current one. Midland are real scumbags and they have tried all kinds of nasty tactics to force her to pay. Please help if you can. Thanks.

Get out your hankies.....and PLEASE HELP!

I am going to attempt to pour my heart out here. :( It all started in March 2001, when I got hurt on the job - and I mean hurt to the point where I lost my livelihood. After several visits to the doctor and then to my employer's selection of doctors, I was declared disabled. but, that disabled was not good enough. I had to hire myself a lawyer. Well, I was the breadwinner in the family. I was making about $2000 a week - and with 7 children and all of a sudden no income - you can guess what kind of trouble we got into.

I was just hoping for some feedback on the focus recievables question I posted, sorry I don't mean to be pushy, just very worried about this matter

focus receivables

19 years 1 month ago
Someone from focus recievables kept calling my house, asking for my husband on the machine so I called back. They told me that he had a $945 cell phone bill from a while back and wanted me to settle it. I told them I could make small payments to take care of it, but thats all I could do. However, the lady was very rude and laughed at me, she told me that I just needed to plan to talk to a lawyer, and she hung up on me. My husband was very angry that they had told me about this account and he tried to call back the next and no one would connect him with anyone. What do we do?

Settlements

I have a few accounts that are really old. Most drop off in 2 years. Is it wise to settle on these accounts now that my financial shape is better? Will these stay any longer than the required 7 years? My worries are if I pay them, even pay in full that will update my date of last activity and stay longer! These are in the hands of a collection agency.
