Help. I want to pay off my debts

Good Morning! My name is Larry Dustin and I need help - soon. Please bear with me for a moment, I’d like to tell you my story. A year and a half ago, I lost my beautiful wife of 36 years - very unexpectedly. She had been given an all clear on the colon cancer she had been battling. During that time we went through all the money we had saved and much more on credit cards. I had gone back to work full time and we weren’t having any trouble with the payments. Then on February 22nd, 2005, we were sharing a laugh on our lanai and decided to go in the kitchen and start dinner.

OK, I joined the group here to see what kind of help I can get. I have told my story in a couple of other threads, so I will not go into great detail about it here. We (my wife and I) have a decent/good credit score and good payment history, but our DTI is killing us. As well as payment due dates. Our finances are pretty much out of control and it is causing me great grief and many sleepless nights. My house is maxed at 100% LTV so I cannot roll anything in to it.

As Roadwarrior suggested that I 'dig deeper', I have, and I have discovered there are a lot of Lobbyists with principal being representative from PDL companies, both store front and internet. There is a lot of money changing hands. Every state has Lobbyist information, and many have copies of receipts available online. I strongly urge everyone to 'dig deeper'. Peace, Polly

I have about $17,000 in credit card debt. I do not have any other debt. I want a solution but do not want to affect my credit score. Is that possible?

Sorry I haven't been on but for some reason I couldn't pull up this website from home. Anyways good and bad news. Good news first. Out of the seven payday loans we have paid off 2 of the storefront lenders, 1 storefront will be paid off on the 18th if all stays the same, paydayselect is current via money order, and have agreed to continue to take payments this way. Now the bad news--my husband did not get his direct deposit changed soon enough so the bank took the whole check which was good because they would have been paid off and closed monday once his direct deposit cleared.

for those of you who have already been thru this... how quickly does the ball get rolling on this? will i be able to see immediate relief? just trying to psych myself up for better days & i want to be prepared to do what i need to to get this figured out! :) thanks!!!
