I have been reading different information about the last date of activity and the SOL. All the information I read is different from the next one I read. Can two companies list the same debt as a negative unpaid debt on the CR? Only one owns it. How long after the last date of activity can a debt remain on your CR? 7 years, right? Somewhere I read 7 years after the SOL, and some people say 7 years after the charge off. Please explain.

I want to consolidate my credit cards

HELP! I have a couple of payday loans out there 3 to be exact 2 @300.00 and 1@ 200.00 I currently live in arizona and all three of these were done on the internet. After several requests to pay off the loans they still just take out the finance charges.

I am currently a full-time college student and got a letter today from The Law office of Joe Pezzuto,LLC stating they wanted me to pay $6241.69 in full. The matter all started when I charged up $4500 on a $5000 credit limit. Then my school charged my account twice by accident. So i filed a claim a got my money back. But by then the credit card company wanted me to pay late fees of $200 and the amount was still over the credit due to late fee which were not my fault:On November 2005. Now the balance has jumped to 6241.69 AUG. 2006.... after the tax collection agency handled it.

I am having a TERRIBLE experience with this company. After first speaking to them on the phone I felt ok. Then after replaying the conversation in my head I started to get nervous. Once I received the paperwork in the mail I was positive this was not a company I wanted to help handle my finances. In the paperwork there were SEVERAL spelling errors and the fees quoted to me over the phone were much different then what was in the paperwork. Also, there was not a breakdown of why I was paying the amounts I was paying. The only amounts listed were the fee amounts.

I have a few credit cards that I really want to consolidate into one easy monthly payment, so I am not late anymore, I want to get rid of my credit cards because I know I can live off of my income, but now that I am in debt it seems like I cant get ahead of the game. I owe about $7000ish in credit card debt.

Does anyone know what number this is? They left a voice mail on my cell phone to call. No other info and I don't appreciate phone calls across my cell phone when they do not leave who it is or what it is in regard to. When I called the number back I get a recording to stay on the line and someone will be right with you. I would like to know who is calling first!

Maybe I'm just dumb,but I didn't know this and thought maybe others don't either.I called Sears the other day concerning my sons(adult) account.His interest and charges were balooning all over the place. He is on disability and only makes min. payments. Well,come to find out they have a plan called Fractional Balance which eliminates interest,finance charges and over the limit charges.He will pay a fixed amount,she worked with me on this,for 12 months.This will go directly toward the principal and get his debt down quicker. Maybe other credit card companies have such a plan.
