Can anyone give me a good sample of a validation letter and cease and desist letter? I'm getting called from Prelitigation (I guess the same as United Legal) and they are threatening to take me to jail for fraud yadda yadda. I just wanted to send these letters off to them to get them to stop calling my employer. As well as the fact that I'm paying M1Y and my other PDL's through a debt consolidation company. Ok, My parents bankrupted in 2000. They bought them another house and my dad is not making payments and my mom found out about this when she received a foreclose notice at her post office (because he hides and steals the mail at the their house and she found out about that too.) Ok, my moms name is on the house and since it has not been 7 years since they bankrupted....what is the worst that could happen to them? I don't care about what happens to him, just her. Can she go to jail or can he go to jail? What happens next step if foreclosure occurs? then the next step and next step?

I was called by this company and threatened to be arrested if I didn't pay at least 1/2 of the amount within 48 hours. Can they do this? I also requested that they send this info to me in writing and they said they weren't required to is that true

ok a place called united processing inc called me and said i needed to pay 447.71 for my cash in minutes loan. so did cause they said they would take me to court and i dont need to go to court going to court would mean my family would find out what kind of trouble i am in. so i took the money from my g/p's account. now i need to know if i can fight back and get a refund? i live in oklahoma. and i believe the cash in minutes loan was for only 100.00. can someone help me get a refund? and does anyone know how i can get about 6,000 to get out of this mess i am in.

Ok since you have been kind enough to give us each a homepage wouldn't it be cool if we could decorate it??? I was thinking rather than having our posts all scrolled down the page, how's about a button with a target window which pops up when you click it? That would save a whole lot of space. And think how cool it would be if we could do up our own html and add backgrounds and neato frito stuff like that!

Hi folks, This forum has been a great help to me, forgive me if it takes me a while to respond, this is our busy season. My total debt is approx 5000.00 (approx 3500.00 child support left), 1500.00 in past due accounts (bill collectors). I have disputed almost the entire content of my credit report. I obtained 2 credit cards (Orchard bank/First premier bank), and surprisingly a third credit card from my bank. FICO score is at 631. I am receiving offers from collectors for settlements (ie; pay only 400.00 to pay off a 821.00 debt). I am wondering what would be my best coarse, shall I pay

I received a PDL email today and it was called "Angel Payday" or "Payday Angel" and I just thought it was a really bizarre title for a payday company. As we know these creeps will use any tactic to get customers. I suppose that calling themselves "angels" makes them seem legit.

I too, have been involved with getting multiple payday loans which I have found that now are almost IMPOSSIBLE to pay them all back. It seems that all I have done is "rob peter to pay paul" and I have REALLY gotten myself into such a financial MESS because of deliquent payday loans that I have been unable to pay.

I read somewhere that if you went to court you could get a creditor to dismiss or wipe out a portion of the balance if it's an old debt....anyone have any information on that at all. Terry
