I just got off the phone with Jessica from T&C. I pulled the rest of my payday loans out of the program since I requested a refund. Jessica helped me with this two weeks ago as well. She said, I have been hearing this so much, how do you find out these laws. I explained that I found a website explaining usury laws and payday laws for each state. She requested a copy of it. I explained I would send it to her via email (if you need T&C's generic email, I have it now).

Lawgistix has now dumped me because I complained about their customer service department which was non compliant. NOT that I'm unhappy about that because they left me high and dry throughout this process. So, if you have Lawgistix and if you are having trouble with their customer service department and you complain about this, they will dump you too. so be forewarned! :twisted:

If there is one thing you have to remember it's that if you are ever served with notice of a lawsuit don't just set it aside and/or try to settle with the plaintiffs (creditor). In most cases that's a waste of time and in the end, unless you have something in writing, it's their word against yours that an agreement has been reached.

I'm in a position to settle my 16K debt with Bank of America... I just settled Amex for 35%, and am looking for something similar from BofA. I'm worried that if I call them, they might smell money and go for a harder bargain, or perhaps sue. This account has been thru 3 agencies, and one "law firm", all went away after I DV'ed them. Should I just wait for the next CA to call me, or is there a way to go for a settlement without looking like I have alot of $$$ to give...

I am supposed to start paying on my student loan in the spring of 2007. What if I can not afford the full payment they request of 350.00 and can only send in 250.00 each month.? Are they quick to default you and sue ya and hang you? I am applying for the low income sensitive payment--but if I am not approved of that, then I worry they will try to hang me and then my life will end as I know it. Where is Jedi by the way...?? have not seen her around her very much.
