Hello, I live in Ohio and I am trying to help my mother relieve her payday loan situation. She got into a bad financial situation about 1 1/2 years ago using payday loans. She started with about six and over the last year we have been able to pay off 3 of them. All of these accounts were opened at Payday Loan stores in Ohio. Recently her job closed and she's not able to keep paying like she's been doing. She can pay something on all of them but not the full amount. What all would you recommend we do? I really want to help her get rid of these last 3 payday loans.

Company/Individual reported: Credit Protection Association, Noell Rd, Dallas TX This company is almost invisible. Query them on Google and they show up, but you cannot reach a valid website. I overpaid them due to an error, and they refuse to give me my money back UNLESS I provide them with my complete bank statement. Having been a victim of identity theft already - I will not just hand over my bank information to anyone. They demanded the whole statement. How ridiculous and now I'm out another $55.00

I just want to make sure that I understand. Once an item has reached the SOL and falls off of my credit report the agency can not collect the amount from me? I am trying to clean up my report and want to pay the ones that are going to make the most change in the near future.

If a collection agency does decide to take you to court and sue you, what happens if they put a judgement against you? What exactly does it mean and what happens to you?

Hi, I found this website doing a search for United Cash. This company appeared on my credit report, but I do not have any contact information other than address: 6161 Savoy Dr in Houston, TX. I do not recall having a payday loan with this company, but it states on the report I owe them $600. I've disputed it, but it remains there because they say it's a legit claim for collection of funds they gave me in 2000. Would anyone be able to help with info on these people? :?:

I received a letter from A Lawyer representing Palisades trying to collect on a debt with AT&T. This was from approx. 4 years ago under my married name, and this is the first correspondence I have received from them in regards to collections. I have been deisputing this debt from 4 years and over the course have not received anything from them. They used an old address that I haven't lived at for 2 years, somehow it got to me through the mail.

Does anyone know where I can get a free credit report?
