what is the statue of limitation for georgia?

does anyone know anything about this company. they have called like 5 tiems the past week. I have gotten no letter from them, though I know I owe AVON. I would like to call avon and pay them. I am fearing that if I pay, I will still get calls later saying I still owe. I live in MO in the CST does anyone know the calling times as well. They call at 10 PM????? I know that is way late... thanks

Has anyone every delt with P. Scott Lowry Law Office before? I checked my bank account this morning and saw that my bank posted a $50 electronic check from them. I never gave them any of my bank account information. The only way they could have gotten it was that I payed my Chase account directly online. I set up to post-dated checks with them. Chase must forward the payments to P. Scott, since they are the collection agency handling the account. The payments I scheduled online were for $70, but they took $50 and they took it before the date I had put on the checks.

i am currently paying a federal restitution, and have gone behind. by two months payment. I must appear before a (review of my finances) court, and i assume they will assess a judgement.....how much of my government pension and social security can they take from me each month?

I have two credit cards with large balances (9k and 7k)at the moment. The interest on each card is killing me (16.25 or so on each, over $120 per card, per month!). I am considering a balance transfer but i don't know the best way to go about it. My thought was to swap the balances but i assume that this won't be allowed. One card is offering 2.99% for the life of the transfer balance and the other is offering %0 thru April 2007 and then %8.99 there after.

Informational purposes only at this point. If I or anyone settles with a CA and agress to send payment in via Check, Money Order, Certified check etc. What should be stamped or written on the payment so that they have to honor the agreement that was in writing or whatever. One time I saw a site that had a nice stamp to use but that was a year or so ago.

I have two accounts on my credit report that I paid off, both show a $0 balance, but both also show 60 days past due. Would it do me any good to dispute them (since they should show paid)? Or just leave them alone? Any help is greatly appreciated. One is a car loan, the other was a second mortgage. Both accounts were paid in full.

I have several payday loans that I must pay back. I have already committed to paying two which is $150 for three months (not each). One other, Interim Cash Limited agreed on $100 for 4 consecutive paydays. Take in mind that I only owe them $279. I haven't reach any agreements on the rest yet. Here is where I need advice. I am on several medications for major depression and obsessive compulsive disorder. I know this is a dumb question but I will ask it anyway. If I only have enough money for one of the two which should I pay: payday loans or my medication.

Hello , I really have a problem with debt collectors. My brother was staying at my house for a brief 2 months , having his bills sent to my address. Now , after 2 years , while he get in debt , the collectors keep calling my house , looking for my brother. Also I get a lot of mail from debt collection agencies. Because I don't want to give any info regarding my brother, the collectors keep calling. I returned the mail , but without successs. What do I have to do to identify the collectors and STOP these calls for good ? Thanks, Mike
