I have made an effort to call all of the creditors that I owe money to and set up monthly payments with them that I could afford. Unfortunately, they are now all with collection agencies and they are telling me that what I am offering to pay is not enough. They say I can send in whatever I want, but it won't stop them from moving farther with action against me and possibly legal action. I don't see how they can deny me of making a payment. I am trying the best that I can. Any suggestions and can they do that?

My sister inherited a lot of money through her marriage from her father in law. She was on disabilty before she inherited the money. Well they found out she inherited lots of money and decided to take her disabilty check, and her medical card away from her. Now she is 15,000 in debt due to medical bills and the collection agency has decided to put a lien against her home to pay for these medical bills. She spent her inheritance, or should I say her husband did, but the collection agencies are going after her home. If she puts her house in soley my name could they go after me?

Hey guys I recd a ltr from Quikpayday today. The ltr stated they marked my acct pd in full. But said nothing about a refund which they do owe me. Should I just be thankful they marked it pd in full & leave it at that, or should I pursue the refund. What do you all think? I was interested in knowing if when other people have recd ltrs from Quik do they state in the ltr they will be sending a refund, or did they just state account pd in full & then sent a refund. Sorry, probably just wishful thinking.......

I just had yet another call at work claiming to be an investigator. I held my ground and told him I was going to record the remaining conversation and was surprised that he said to go ahead and proceeded with talking. THEN, however I interupted and said, EXCUSE me while I turn the recorder on and put him on hold. TO my surprise he hung up on me.... WooooHooooo

I recently disputed some information and now I have been notified that I have a consumer fraud alert on all my credit reports. This was not initiated by me and I called Equifax since I couldn't reach Experian and was told that because I disputed information, it issued a fraud alert on all reports which could affect my chance of obtaining credit or credit increases. Has anyone gone through this before or is it common practice now to issue fraud alerts after disouting information? Thoroughly confused.

Just wondering if anyone has sent "the letter" to ameriloan. If so, what was their response re: writing off your balance? They are on my T&C plan, but haven't heard any response to my letter. I sent out "the letter" to all my PDLs the same time I signed up w/T&C. So far, all but one of them have zero'd out my account...and that one reduced my amount to $100, payable in two monthly payments. The letter has brought me nothing but good results...

I am wondering what T and C mean? Also, I used to get payday loans through a company called Quik Payday, then after the new year when I logged in there it redirects me to a site called cash central. Well, yesterday I received a letter and a check from cash central covering my finance charges for this year, because it is against Washington law to offer extensions. How would I go about getting any money back for the last year I spent on finance charges with Quik Payday?. The check says if I cash it my claim with them is released.

Received a form letter the other day which advised that I still owed on an account which has been paid off, I spoke by phone with a lady by phone which sounded like a High School Drop Out. Her use of the English Language was that of maybe a 6th grader. After stateing that the account had been paid in full this lady refused to call up the account to check on its status. I went and spoke with my attorney. I then gave him the letters that and the recorded phone conversation between us. Today my attorney called me an said we have one HELL OF A CASE!!!!
