My husband is a full time student--no salary. After 9/11 we got into serious CC problems when I lost my job. We have been working with a debt settlement co. that has paid off many other accounts so far. The last ones left are large balances. We have had one judgement against us. The CC's are in his name; one of our bank accounts has been frozen. Another court date for a judgement is pending. Our cars (also in his name) are still being financed by the auto loan people, and we do ot own a home.

If you have a charge off that was opened in 1994 and reported on C.R. 2003 is there like so many years that it can stay on your credit and it will be like wiped off? ( wishful thinking?) :roll: I voluntary gave a car back to the car lot before I moved to another state. They begged me to keep the car( due to a ol' cheap ol' ripe off ol' car lot) :twisted: but I refursed I told them I am not sure when I move if I'll find a job and I didn't have time for anyone to come looking for me with the police about a payment.

I'm in the boat as so many with storefront PDL's. Hubby and I are both into them. He has 3. I have 4. Got caught in the vicious cycle as everyone knows. Well it eats every last single cent of our pay. This has caused us to be using our overdraft protection to the max $500 every payday. We are not able to pay our utilities, which is at the point of disconnection. I'm not able to make payment arrangements with them as I have broken them to many times paying these stupid pdl's back first. I am so so sick over this. Please I really need help before seriously I completely lose my mind.

Has anyone ever gotton Asset Acceptance to delete a file from their report? I would even be willing to settle for the settlement amount for deletion. I'm sort of afraid to talk to them on the phone because I don't want them to sair I reaffirmed the debt which could restart the SOL in the state I'm moving to. Are they allowed to report it as an open account or an installment account?

I have just received a letter from Zwicker & Assoc concerning a debt with someone called Recumbent Credit. I have no idea who they are. The letter was sent to an address I moved from 4 years ago in another state. How long can they pursue me? I live in MS and the letter was sent to an address in TN.

Hi I looked at my credit report for the first time today and found a negative account with a balance of $400. I'm not sure if the information is accurate, since it is a medical bill which my insurance firms should have paid. But given my circumstances, I would rather pay the $400 than fight these creditors. I am not sure if paying the $400 now will help my credit score / report in any way? Would appreciate any advice / inputs?

Hello everyone! I think I messed up. On friday I sent in the contract and payment for my retainer but I couldnt find any addresses for my pdls. I sent them anyway. Should I call them and tell them to send me another contract and look up the addresses or should they have most them? Thank You

Hello all was just wandering if a PDL is valid with no signature? Even if it says it can't be processed without signature? And if the loan note and the cash agreement should both have details of the loan amount printed on both statements along with the name of the lending company, and if not do you think it may be a scam. Any feedback is appreciated.

Hi everyone! I thought I would explain a little more about exactly what happened to me with my PDL distaster waiting to happen. If anyone's ever had the problems I'm having, I would love to hear your story, and find out what happened to you, how you dealt with it, and how you ultimately fixed your problem... Each of my loans are from store front lenders, and they are rather huge amounts. All six of them together total to a very huge amount that now totals way beyond what I net every two weeks from my job.
