beeing sued19 years 9 months ago I am about 8 months late on payments for couple credit cards, my total debt is more than $20K. My creditors do not know where I leave and work right now. But can I still be sued by them and lose a lawsuit if they are unable to find me? How can I find out if they sued me or send me summons to my old adress?

Summons, help!!19 years 9 months ago I have gotten some advice on here about how to proceed with this. I received a summons last week to my door. The processor just handed it to my friend and said to give it to me. (Strange!) I just don't know what to do next. I know that I owe this money and I am now in a situation to where I can pay them back with payments. I don't want to go to court over this and the summons states that I have 21 days to answer to it. What does that mean? What do I have to do? Someone, please help!! Thank you.

I was served a complaint about an old credit card debt with Providian - about $3000. Because I believed what one of the many collection agencies told me- I thought it had been charged off since they were hard-nosed and refused anything but payment in full.....guess I was wrong. Two questions:
1. I am answering the complaint and sending to court and collection attorney through certified mail.

Collection Agency Not Paying19 years 9 months ago We have an account settlement with collection agency and now since six months they are not paying us. No phone calls are answered and no one retuens calls. I don't know where to go from here. Any help is appreciated.
