About once a week I recieve a threating message to return their call at 866-471-7100. The message is...You or your attorney need to call our office, we have a claim in the State of Illinios we need to speak to you or we will take matters in our hands. I asked my attorney about this calls... she feels this is a scam or a trap of a old debt paid. She also told me if I return their call I might get trapped and committed. If it was true of legal claim or debt.. I would have been notified by letter first. I called to see who or what company it is. The recording says...CPI Incorp.

Hello, I was contacted by this firm regarding an outstanding Orchard Mastercard balance. They say they are an attorney's office and that they are not a collection agency, therefore they do not need to set up payment arrangements, they can demand payment in full or file a suit. I have done some checking, and Thomas Bamford is indeed an attorney practicing in Texas, but the way his office conducts business is unlike any law office I have seen.

What can a payday loan company or collection agency legally do if you cannot pay your payday loan debt. They make so many horrible threats, but does anyone know what they can really do? Any experiences?

If you give your 2 week notice, and your employer will not let you work during that 2 week notice; are they obligated to pay for that time? :? Are there stipulations? If not, why? Is there a legal precedent? Is it different in different states? I'm in North Carolina. :?

Please forgive the long post but there is alot of information and I am trying to clarify what to do and how to do it in order to get this removed. Anyone know how many points are raised when you pay something off your credit report. We are trying to get our credit straight and have always pay things in full. Also. Looking on my credit report it has the actual company exp: Jcypenny and then another company but it's for Jcypenny. Both saying they want money. Do you have to pay both companies? Can they both be on there?

Hi folks, I know this is a familiar story but here is my situation. I owe on PDL and a personal loan thru American General. I am signed up with T&C and they are still in the process of finalizing proposals with everyone. Problem is today I rec'd a call from Advance til Payday today and boy, they are not being very nice. The message they left on my voicemail said they do not work with debt management companies and I need to have T&C stop contacting them.

Finally recieved the green card from Plaza Associates today. What makes it interesting, is that the card was returned to me. Unsigned, undated etc...... Done by mistake, or on purpose, should legal action(s) be needed?? Is it unusual for a CA to return a CMRRR card unsigned/dated etc...?? Have not tried tracking the number. Would that show who signed for letter, even though card unsigned? Information appreciated. Thanks.
