716-650-6240 - whose number is this?

19 years 9 months ago
Hi, checked my answering machine tonight---remember I only use this phone line for internet and fax but have had it for years and years so all my bill collectors and collection agencies have it--I never answer. Have it set up to where the ringer is off and I never have to hear it. I have an answering service hooked up to it so I still do check my messages. I have another line that is private that family and friends have if I am needed.

19 years 9 months ago
I want to reiterate my point to everyone here. Please, be strong, for yourselves and for your families and othes who may be going through these tough time with you. Again, and I cannot say this enough. **Don't let them push you around **Don't take any crap from them, you are a human being, make sure they treat you like one! **Close your original checking account! This is the first step to regaining control over your finances. As long as you let them have access to you bank account they can do whatever they want.

has anybody used prosper financial?

19 years 9 months ago
we are considering using prosper financial for debt negotiation of about 50,00 in unsecured debt. Has anybody used them with either a positive or negative result? It feels odd to pay the fee up front and wait to see what happens

Gerald E. Moore and National Arbitration Forum

My husband got a Gateway computer financed by MBNA. He signed up over the internet, never signed any paperwork, and got the computer. He quit paying MBNA, and the account defaulted Oct. 2004. Apparently, the account was purchased by Worldwide Asset Purchasing, LLC. We've received a couple of letters from the "Law Offices of Gerald E. Moore & Associates, PC" regarding the debt. The amount that they were demanding was more than what my husband's account balance was at the charge-off date.

Young, broke, and worried

19 years 9 months ago
I am new to the forum and I'm looking for advice. I am in my late twenties, recently married, and have over $50K of unsecured debt (credit cards and personal loans). Simply put, despite a great college education and good paying job, I can't afford my bills. I don't own a home, so I have little or no options to pay these debts off. I am 30 days past due on my bills and it will get worse as I sunk most of my available capital into my wedding. I am planning on entering law school next year, but now I fear I won't be able to because my credit will be ruined.

Bank of America

19 years 9 months ago
I need some advice. I got behind with Bank of America a while back because they weren't sending me a paper bill (my option) and I couldn't get online to see my bill. I only missed a payment or two at best and it was a long time ago. I pay them $80 a month for about a year now, but all of a sudden they are sending me letters threatening me with collections or a lawsuit. I took a look at the bill and they want a 1600 dollar minimum payment. So I send them a letter asking them to renogiate because I can't pay that amount. They never answered me and sent me another letter today.
