These people make you wish that you didn't even try. I pulled my credit report to see what was on there and what I needed to clear up. I called these people to try and work out an arrangement. What did I do that for? THey have never once called me or contacted me and yet they act like I'm not trying to pay. They only want to take the payments they want to take and not what I can afford. Then "Ms. Cole" tries to get smart and tell me "you work in a corporate office in your own little office". I can call HR and verify how much you make! How much I make is not the issue.

Is Certified Check Recovery Systems a legitamate (sp?) collection agency?

I am trying to dig myself out of this payday loan mess - I have signed with T & C and they have indeed assured me that everything will work out fine. Well- I have several companies that continue to try and draft my account - my credit union can't block them but I have put all of my money into my savings account. My account is in the negative now. To close the account, I have to qualify to open a new one there and I don't think we will qualify because of our credit scores - is there a way to get these to stop sending ACH debits to my account? A letter maybe?

This morning my kids were getting ready for school and I was getting the laundry sorted. They got real quiet in the bathroom and when I went in to see what they were doing, they were having a toothpaste war. They had their toothpaste all over the sink, counter, shower curtain, and in their hair. Does anyone realize how hard it is to get toothpaste out of hair? It isn't easy. Then once I got the mess cleaned up I went back to finish sorting the laundry and then I picked up a towel out of the basket and my little boy had put a rubber snake in the towel and wadded it up.

What are people's opinions of pay day loans offered by your bank? My bank offers a pay day loan for direct deposit customers of up to $500 for $2 per $20. The $550 is deducted from your account from your next direct deposit, or after 35 days. I've taken advantage of it more times than I'd like to admit, and think it's an addictive and costly habit by those of us in dire straits or living beyond our means. I've managed to break myself of the habit by doing a major downsizing of my entire life, but I'm interested in knowing what other people think.
