Two Questions: 1 - Once an attorney's office has contacted you re-seeking a judgement does it help to inform them you are seeking an attorney for bankrptcy? They are different from collection agencies right? 2 - For bankrptcy it stays on your record 10 years. How long does a judgement stay? I am trying to figure out the difference between a judgement & filing bankruptcy. Thank you!

I also have loans that total $1,765.00. It clearly states that it is their responsibility to insure that I do not have other loans out. does this make a difference?

I received a call from Mr. Austin from FSM Processing about a payday loan he is trying to collect on, and I have them listed in my consolidation program with T & C, but he says they wont work with consolidation companies, because the payment is so small. I told him that he is not my only obligation and that is all I can afford right now, but that I really want to pay them back. What should I do if FSM wont cooperate with T & C? Thanks, Heather

I had a phone call from a Mr Hubert in "LEGAL" dept. Regarding a Payday loan from Americash. He refused to send anything in writing then told me I committed fraud. He hung up on me. The voice mail at the number states A.S and Associates, but I can't seem to find anyting about them.

I was recently contacted by a CA at work about a charged off account. I explained to the collector that I would could make a $1,000 payment, but beyond that I could only make payments. She said that long term payment arrangements were not acceptable, and that I should try and borrow the money for the full amount owed (she quoted me an settlement offer of a bit less than what I owed), and asked me to call her back. I called back and got a voice mail.

I had taken a payday loan out in december 2005 for $250 and they have been debiting my savings account until I just stopped payment on it last week,now they called me today saying they were going to file fraud charges against me and get this they said do you no MARTHA STEWART I said yes and they said you are going to prison just like her,they also said she is a celebrity and she did'nt get off,what is so funny she did'nt have apayday loan.They have taken $150 each month since dec.2005,I believe they are already paid,Do I need to worry?
