This site is a godsend to me right now. I am sitting here racking my brains on how I'm going to get out of this payday hell I'm in..Currently I have 9 that are just sucking me dry. I have 6 dollars to my name, and payday is almost 2 weeks away. I just can't believe I did this to myself. Does any credit counselors help negotiate with these people? I'm getting more discouraged as I surf the net and find that most do not....

Hello, I used to have an account with AT&T Cellular years ago. I did not renew my contract and went with another provider. After a few months I received a collection letter for a balance of over $500.00. I called and they said it was my last months bill plus a fee for withdrawing from my contract early. I faxed copies of my payment and the date it was made. I heard nothing from them again. I now have a charge off on my credit report from Pallisades for that amount. I have spoken to them and faxed them copies of all my paperwork.

Anyone know who this is? 952-835-2283. I did a google search and a yahoo search and got two different responses, one says it is a residence and one says it is a company called Arx Llc, but I can't find any additional info on that company. They call constantly, all day, but hang up on the answering machine. So, I called the number and they answer "thank you for calling the northland group", does anyone know who that is...it is strange that no searches come up with that.

I'm in the middle of financing a new home. Now my mortgage broker is telling me the lender needs to raise my interest rate and closing costs because my credit score has plummetted from 750 to 650!!! Why? Because of RJM Acquisitions! They are collecting for One Spirit Book Club, whom I've never made a purchase. I've been living at the same address for almost 5 yrs now and have NEVER received a bill from One Spirit or RJM. But they have reported collection to Experian and Transunion this month with a collection date of 11/05!! How is this possible?!

I was recently denied a secured credit card through my bank and their reason listed was "Charge-Off Credit Card". I am working on re-establishing my credit and just last week sent a payment to Midland Credit Association for a settlement opportunity for a CC I had through Associates over 10 years ago. I was told by Midland once they received payment it would be considered "paid in full". Can I reapply for the secured credit card after this payment is posted to my credit report?
