Hi! I am a single mother of 3 children. My husband died tragically 7 years ago in a car accident on his way home from work. I am a full time college student struggling to make ends meet. Last May my car broke down and I needed fast money to fix it so I could go to school so I took out a pay day loan. Well needless to say one loan led to another and I ended up with 8 payday loans. Last summer was horrible because they were taking 650.00 every month out of my checking account just to cover their fees. Well in August thank God for your forum I decided to close my checking account.

I am 56 yeas old Indian Citizen residing in India.I intent to avail Personal Loan/Debt Consolidation Loan. Could I be eligible for this ? Can you le me know some of the internaional resources wherefrom I can get such type of Financial Assistance ? Thanks

Question: I live in Texas, if payday loans have been discharged by chapter 7 bankruptcy, is it legal for collections agency to contact you and threaten arrest for banking fraud? Has anyone else been contacted by don freeman from interstate compliance at 866-201-4603 for loan from jvc processing?

Anybody ever hear of these guys in Dallas, TX? (214) 904-1754 I got a call from them about an NSF check from 1999. The call came from thier "Prelegal Dept." After conversing with the woman who wanted to speak to my wife, whom the check concerned, I hung up on her. She told me the statute of limitations on an NSF check in TX is 7 years, but the limitation is 4 years on an open account or a written contract (the account isn't open any longer, so I'm guessing it goes under the "written contract" heading, even though it was a check for a pizza place).

Today, I actually recieved a reply from FMS, regarding the letter I sent them recently!! In their reply, they state the following: We are in reciept of letter regarding the account listed. Letter is to notify you that a request has been made to our client, for all pertinent information regarding account. Will be sent to you upon reciept. Until such time we recieve requested information from client, we will cease collection activity on said account and will make note that you dispute the debt, or part of.
