Hey guys, I don't have a lot of time to sit around and watch tv but I do have a tivo and was going through it the other night. I had an Oprah show where shes challenging america to a 'debt diet'. Its pretty much the standard thing, stop spending, sign a contract to say you will stop spending, cut up your cards and so forth....the norm. They had three families on the show. I laughed at one, although its kinda sad. But suddenly I felt real good about myself. its a couple that makes about 100,000 a year between them.

My husband and i are about to lose it... We have only been married two years and we cannot afford to pay our bills due to a job change that resulted in a loss in pay for me... We have two vehicle payments one for 300 and one for 360 and a house payment of 400.. for most that doesn't we also have two other loans that total around 250 together. We don't have credit cards, but wondered if there was any help for us. We have been trying to sell one vehicle and some other things, but not many bites yet...

my name is michelle stewart and my question is I am trying to pay my sprint bill with debit, and the collection agency is calvary and I have no phone number for them I owe $197.00 I want to pay full amount. thank you

Howdy all!!! Now that I am in the process of fixing my credit, disputing items, etc etc etc, I find that I am drowning in paperwork!! Everywhere I look, I see credit reports, dispute letters, certified mail receipts....what I am looking for from my good friends here is a few tips on organizing all these papers. Should I keep a separate folder for each account, and separate folders for disputing to each bureau?

Have been with T&C for over two months now and I must say I'm not a happy camper. My situation has gone from bad to worse and I'm beginning to wish I'd never gone with them. Since I've been with them, I've continued to have late and OTL fees totaling hundreds of dollars added to my CC accounts and I'm sure they're reporting to the CAs that I'm delinquent. I wasn't before and my accounts were up to date though I had a hard time keeping them that way. I could shoot myself for doing this. :evil: Every one tells me it'll get better, but so far it has gotten worse.

I posted sometime back onLVNV buying my Sears account. Did what you suggested, sent cert. letter for debt validation, got it today, I think! It was from Greenville, South Carolina, all it said they purchased my account from Sears ,the amount, and believe this information to be tru and valid,blah,blah, and that was it and to contact them. Should I try to again, they refused to set up payments,only want to get judgement and garnishment. Someone suggested I send a chech for x dollars,certified to the with a letter saying I cannot pay all at once,but will make x payment on such date every month.
