Okay guys, not a big thing here but I wanted to share. When we talk about getting original creditors or collection agencies to agree to update with the credit bureaus before paying them off--I always say, that if you can't get them to respond to your request, or they say they will but don't, that you can always go to the credit bureaus and dispute it with them and let them do the leg work and investigating. And let them come back and update from there.

Can I still use my credit cards while doing debt consolidation? Will the creditors close my accounts?

Particularly as the result of defaulting on a payday loan? DON'T WORRY! The police are not going to be the "muscle" for some shady payday loan company. The police do not want to be involved in civil issues. And this is certainly a civil issue. When these companies take your "post-dated" check, they know you do not have the money when you make the agreement. Therefore, it is NOT the same as writing a hot check. It is not fraud, because they KNEW you didn't have the money. Can they take you to court for defaulting on your loan?

Hi all...I found this site/forums doing a Google search. I've been pulling out hairs trying to find something like this, I thought I was alone in my troubles. So far, I've been able to handle the payday loans I have, but it's finally caught up to me. I just got done creating a spreadsheet with amounts, contact info, etc. No wonder I can't sleep! How did it get this bad? Anyhoo, can someone tell me what this "T&C" is that I read about here? Are there any other co.s that will help with this? I called a few found on searches, but none will handle this sort of problem. egw

Before we were married my wife had some dings on her credit. I know in the state of IL I am not responsible for prior debts that she had, a lawyer advised us of this and I don't even pick up the phone when they call the house. We were married late last year but they have been calling before we got married, well before we got married. One recently we think has been calling is a company called "Credit Control" The guy on the phone asks if I am "David Keller" No, I don't know who he is but he does not live here. I am guessing it is because maybe the prior phone number was his.

Has anyone had any dealings with First Financial? They called me at work and left a message. I haven't received anything in writing from them yet.

I was contacted by "don freeman" from interstates compliance yesterday at work. He first told me he needed the name and phone # of my attorney. When i began to give it to him he stated, no my attorney must call him back by the end of the day. I asked him what this was regarding, he stated a loan from jvc processing, (this was a payday loan, it was legally dischared by chapter 7 bankruptcy)he stated jvc processing had written off the debt but the "parent company wanted me prosecuted" he then told me he had no choice but to "download" affadavits for my arrest.

I have a Credit Card bill on my record That shows up 3 time when readed I owe over 14,000 dollars what should i do about this.
