Hi all, I'm pretty new to this forum, but I am really enjoying it here and I am having a blast getting to know people. I thought it would be cool if we could share a bit about ourselves, not necessarily about our debt problems, but more about kids and family and such. I'll start!

Right now I feel really foolish. I have several payday loans which eventually I could not pay even their high interest. SO, I stopped depositing money into my checking account but did not close it. The fees continue to get higher and my bank will do nothing to help. I have asked for a new account number and they say they can't change it until I haave the balance back to zero. If I had that amount of money I wouldn't have been using payday loans. I am at my wit's end. Does anyone out there have any suggestions?

Alright, I have been doing alot of thinking today about my situation of collection agencies and orginal creditors giving me the blow off when have I contacted them over and over again. (we're talking a year now). These accounts are in 'charge off' mode on my credit reports. I ask CA for validation-get nothing-talk to OC and ask for information-they tell me to talk to CA---in other words, I'm chasing my tail.

The supplier of medical equipment sent me bills that showed the amount paid by Blue Shield and the amount I owe. After about 6 months of my making calls, faxing, e-mails and postal mail, they finally provided me with a bill that showed how much I paid in the past year. My Audit with Blue Shield and my records did not match the records of the Medical Supplier in regards to my total due. I stopped buying from them and offered a settlement which they would not accept. It was about $85 less than they said I owed. So I agreed to send monthly payments.

To try and get our minds off of everyday stuff, I decided to start a topic about the Super Bowl this weekend. Which team do you want to win? I personally want Pittsburgh to win. I would have liked to have seen the Bears make it. But as usual they blew it yet again this year.

I went over to KFC to get lunch today...And I forgot all about these mashed potato bowls that they have. So anyway, I went over to get a chicken pot pie. When I got back, they had given me a mashed potato bowl instead. I'm pretty sure they bowls cost like 25 cents more. And they forgot to offer me a drink, so I got that for free. So I made out pretty good, I think. And I'm enjoying this mashed potato bowl greatly. :) Anyways, I thought I'd share. :) Jessi

Dear members, I am getting a lot of requests from members in UK and Canada for help related to the collections. They want a different section to be devoted for UK and Canada. We are planning for such a separate section devoted for each geo location. We feel that someone from respected location should take charge of the section, we are offering help as a community and I feel this is the right time to volunteer for the need.

I go an email from a company saying I could get a loan. The name is Home Loan Point. Has anyone out there heard of this one?

Gary Barnhill from 800-741-2100 x3201 is now trying to reach me over the phone by calling my work phone number. Do they have the right to be harrassing me at my work via telephone? They left a message on my work voicemail this morning, but as usual, they do not leave a reason why they need me to get in touch with them by calling the 800 number. I heard from a friend that as soon as I make connection with any collection agency, either by writing or voice, the 7-year wait for a debt to drop from from credit report is reset. Is this true? Does anyone out there have any information Accounts Receivables Technologies? I have their phone number, but I had never heard of them before? Just wondering! Thanks!
