Will a consolidation loan negatively affect my credit rating?

Today my husband received a call from Mike at United Cash Loans and threatened check fraud charges. 1st of all they never received a post dated check from him. Second of all Mike is denying receving any payments. When Mike called here on the 26th of January, he stated he received payments from T&C and they had posted the account. Well today he is saying that he never received anything and they are proceeding. Now how in the world would he have known the amount of payment and who they were from if they weren't receiving anything?

I got a call from Federal Bond and Collection Service today. Actually I did not, my father did. He lives on the other side of the country and they called him. They told him that I owed them money, and they tried to get him to give them a credit card number. My father informed me and I called the number they left. I spoke with a Ms Toni Brown. When I asked her why she had given out my personal information to someone she told me "its all in a days work" which made no sense.

what does my credit report show after debts have all been paid after debt settlement?

Here is the story, I have a capital one card and I owe a little over $600 on it. The credit limit was $500. I called them in November (I know it was dumb) and I owed them around $900 then. They said I needed to make a payment of around $400 and they could divide it into 3 payments. I paid the first two but due to unforseen problems I can't make the last one on time, and I've already postponed it once. It was a postdated check and I had to stop payment on it. I haven't used the card since probably some time in June, and I went from June to November without making a payment due to a divorce.

Greetings all-- I am in the middle of a loan consolidation of multiple student loans. I have a prior consolidation loan in addition to sub/unsub staffords to consolidate from multiple lenders and I am seeking to consolidate them through Sallie Mae. All of my lenders have submitted the required verification paperwork requested by Sallie Mae (by law they have 10 days to provide the information), EXCEPT the Federal Direct Loan program through which I have 2 years of sub/unsub graduate loans.

If I do a debt consolidation will this affect me and my credit?

I've been sued for a $3500 debt to credit catd company. I called the alw firm listed (Zwicker & associates) and offered a payment plan. They said they were going to go ahead with the court anyway unless I can pay in full. Any advice?
