Ok, so this is a bit off-topic, but I wondered if anyone here had issues with scan or telecheck. My husband is being harassed by I think it's scan, saying his DL# is linked to a bad check written states away from where we live, from a bank we never dealt with. They won't release a copy of the check or remove the information unless we pay. How can we go about fixing this?

I read alot of post from people stating that they cant get the address to pay thier debt.What reason would they have not to give you the address,if you are more than willing to send them the money you owe? Why again,if they are a legit company,do they insist on receiving payment via Western Union?If they do plan on taking you to court,wont they have to give thier address then?Can any of you collectors shed some light on this? :?

HI Roxette, The bill I got from Palisades Collection, LLC states that the suite is # 700 (not suite 70 as stated above) at the Bethlehem PA address for sending dispute correspondence. So there is a discrepancy here. Also, I've been trying to find out where Palisades Collection LLC is registered. Haven't found it in the state of Delaware, nor New Jersey. Do you know where this LLC is registered? Its related company ASTA FUNDING, INC is registered in Deleware, but can't find info on Palisades Collection LLC. These people keep calling my parents so I called them back with the number they left. I am not working but I am trying to pay off my debts, by sending money orders with money that I make doing what small jobs I get. I offered to pay the 250 dollar debt they say I owe by sending 25 dollar money orders each month. They say that they cannot accept a money order even if it were 100 dollars a month, and that I had to have a bank account number to give them. I have no bank account. They said that I had to get one from a relative or someone which I can't.

hey everybody. I have a crapitol one card and I owe a little over $600 total. Anyway, back in November I made arrangements to pay my past due amount and late charges in 3 installments to get caught up. I made the first two no problem. The 3rd I had to postpone. Anyway when I called to postpone it they transferred me and the recording said something about NCO financial or something and the guy said he could postpone it but if its not taken care of they would forward it to an attorney in my area for a lawsuit. I thought they sent stuff like this to collections before they sued.

Hi, just thought I'd add this one in here. I was contacted by a representative from Vengroff Williams last night, and I was impressed with how professional he was. No threats, and willing to work with me to settle the debt! It's refreshing to come across someone who realizes that sometimes we get behind because we're having difficulties, not because we are trying to escape paying our debts. I was a little leery when he told me they were based in Florida, as I've heard horror stories about several agencies based in FL.
