I am new to this sight and was reading the posts, what is T & C and what can they do for me? I am starting to get behind on bills, I can't do it all alone because I just paid out 5 grand for a practically new engine for my minivan, I am a single Mom with a decent income but my credit is getting shot and I am falling behind, feel like I am drowning, can they help with my situation? It seems to me there is a legal limit to the amount of money they can take from you during one pay period. I recently did not receive any pay for a period because the entire amount was taken due to a wage assignment. Can anyone tell me if this is ok and where I might find some resources to help me set my payroll department straight? They don't have a good grasp of the law and recently made 1 1/2 payments too many for towards a court ordered garnishment and so I have little faith in their ability to help me. Thanks Bobbi

Okay help me here, I am considering action against Bennett and Deloney using washington state law.. but I need some info. In order to be successful I need to prove that their primary business is debt collection and that they are not a law firm collecting for clients, In short I need some inside info if possible... I went overseas about 7 years ago. I met a wonderful man and got married. While in Australia, we both enjoyed a good life. We worked, paid our bills, had excellant credit, and came close to buying a house. Then my mother got very ill and we decided to move to the States. I am currently in the States while my husband is still in Australia finalizing things. Now, I decided to pull my credit reports to see what shape I was in. Prior to leaving, I had a really nasty relationship. I came up with a whole lot of mess. It appears that "I" took out a mortgage 2001.

I received a call from an Allen Lewis & Associates and they did not leave me a reference to which payday loan this is for that they are collecting. Anyone out there familiar with them?

Well, I got my first call from Tiffany Stone from Sonic Payday a little while ago. She was nice enough. She sent an e-mail to my boss at work to verify employment. She cc'd me at home. I'm off the next couple of days so I'm not sure how he is going to react. It states I have an outstanding or unpaid loan with them. UGH! With Sonic Payday in big letters. I faxed them last Friday stating T & C could work with them. Now, I have to fax the collections department with the same information, along with the counselor's last name. Is this standard procedure for Sonic?

Today I put stop payments on four checks to the PD loan companies and sent T&C my startup fee payment. I began to call my first PD loan company (who they know my very well because I have been a customer for so long) to let them know what was going on. I told them I was consolidating and they want to work out a payment plan with me so I don't have to consolidate. However, whats done is done. I wonder if I should call the other three and let them know or just wait for them to call me? I am not so sure the others will be so nice to me.

I have wrote about this before but wanted to get a collectors intake on this situation. I have an account with a collection agency for a wells fargo account. It went into 'charge off' mode in Jan. of last year. They wrote me in the early part of last year about holding the account (although Wells Fargo said it was still 'in house'-which could be). In April, I wrote them. NOT ASKING FOR validation but trying to make payment arrangements with them. I knew the debt was valid and was correct. I heard nothing back from them. I wrote letter after letter, I heard nothing.

I received a call @ 9:45am from United Legal and they were demanding full payment of payday loan for Rio Resources. I stayed calm (surprisingly) and told them to call Brooke at Town & Country and that Rio Recources had accepted their proposal. Mike stated that United Legal was entitled to the money because the account had been turned over to them. I said ok whatever, we'll see who actually gets the money. Just give Town & Country a call. Guess what, United Legal as of 3:00pm today still hadn't called. Brooke told me not to worry they will deal with them.
