This firm has a rep calling work number DAILY from about 5-7 different numbers identified on caller ID only as "New York". I did a google search and found some seriously disturbing info about his attys mentors in debt collection practices. Its been about 2 weeks since the first call began. No letters for debt received and nothing even on showed up when a credit report was pulled. Any info is helpful. Thanks!

I would like to know what effect debt consolidation has on a credit report. Does consolidation have a negative effect? Short term and long term effects? Will the monthly total be less than paying each creditor seperately?

This is included with my other payday lenders on my debt consolidation program. They are based out of Costo Rica. Should they be willing to work with me on payments through the debt consolidation? My counselor hasn't been able to get ahold of them yet nor are they returning phone calls. It states on their website that it applies to their laws as well as my state laws, which is Ohio. Can they try to garnish my wages? If so, is there anything I can do about it? Do they have jurisdiction to collect this debt legally since they aren't licensed in my state?

Has anyone had to write a letter regarding a dispute in an inquiry you see on your credit report? If so, can you please share your draft. There are some inquiries on my credit file that I don't recognize but I know they are hurting my credit score.

Now that I have my payday loans consolidated and taken care of, my next fight is with my bank. I'm about $500 overdrawn now from the payday loans. :x I informed them 4 times, the last time in writing, that these companies weren't authorized to debit my account. They wouldn't close my account and basically said too bad. I also have two loans through the bank which are automatically taken out of my checking account. What I would like to know is why they continue to take out a loan payment when they know my account is overdrawn?

My emlpoyer got a voluntary wage assignment from Sonic Payday with a digital signature which they are honoring, I tried to tell them I did not authorize or sign anything but she is saying the only way to release the assignment is to receive something from Sonic Payday. Is there anything I can do?
